Even though Chrome OS may seem limited in operating system features when it comes to network diagnostics, the basics we are all used to running from the Windows CMD prompt or Linux Shell are still available if you know where to look.
Simply hit CTRL+ALT+T to open the Chome OS developers shell and you’re away!
A few of the available commands include:
network_diag offers a comprehensive suite of network diagnostics
ping ICMP messaging
tracepath (tracert to windows users)
packet_capture (developer mode only) captures network packets
